TANGLEWOOD

3800 s.f. Ernest Coxhead remodel. The back of this historic house was reconfigured to accommodate informal gatherings in a bright, airy new chef’s kitchen. An infrequently used hall passage and a formal service pantry were removed to open up the new space, increasing access and visual connection to the back yard. The second story primary bedroom and bath received updated layout, storage. Finish materials, fixtures and color palette were chosen to evoke the historic charm of the original 1924 home.

The original carriage house was transformed into an extended stay guest studio for family and friends. The 300 s.f. freestanding ADU has a private entrance, full kitchen, bathroom with shower and built-in storage. A full height sliding door separates sleeping and living areas.
